2024 Stelos Leadership Scholarship Recipients

Each year, we award five Stelos Leadership Scholarships in recognition of students’ dedicated service, loyalty, leadership and significant contributions to Texas State and their communities. The deserving young leaders that receive these scholarships give tirelessly of themselves to enhance the Texas State experience for all students.

Rayvin Biggers just graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Rayvin was a Resident Assistant at Bobcat Village and volunteered for Bobcat Build and Texas River Clean-Up. In addition, she was a member of countless organizations including Black Women United, Women in Business and is a McCoy College of Business Ambassador.







Kylie Burke will graduate in the spring of 2025 with Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science. Kylie has a passion for child development, and she interned at STARS Research Lab where they conducted research on children’s emotional perception of live-action and animated movies. Her project on “Social Relationships in Child Life” at the Undergraduate Research Conference earned 2nd place of all presented projects. Kylie volunteers at the TXST Child Development Center and Dell Children’s Hospital, and she interned at Greater San Marcos Youth Council.





Kiersten Florence plans to graduate this fall with Bachelor of Business Administration. She is very active in Student Government with the roles of President, VP and Senator at Large over her time here. She is a McCoy college of Business Ambassador and a member of ADPi Sorority. She created Student Safety Directors with the campus police, which created 15 new jobs. In addition to all of this academic achievement, Kiersten also works as a dance instructor and is a Strutter.






William Leslie is a senior working on a Bachelor of Science. He held many roles with Sigma Chi Fraternity, including being President. He was IFC President in 2022 and is a Gold Star Society Ambassador. William had several internships including one at Universal Studios in Florida. He was awarded “Fraternity Man of The Year” and “Chapter President of The Year” in 2022 by the Dean of Students.






Tori Thomas just graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science. She held several positions within Alpha Xi Delta Sorority including President. She is a member of STUMO and Younglife and was voted to the 2023 Homecoming Court. She volunteers with the Greater SM Youth council, the Boys and Girls Club and she did an internship with Any Baby Can.
