Student Profile: Delaney Morton
For the next two months, we’re going to share stories about our 2021 scholarship winners. First up is Delaney Morton who received our most prestigious scholarship - the Bill Hogue Memorial Scholarship. This is the 31st year that the Bill Hogue Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to a Texas State student leader.
Delaney is a now graduated senior from Cypress Texas who majored in Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management. Delaney is a member of the Dean’s List and has received many awards like the Presidential Upper-Level Scholarship and the H.C. Vivian Memorial Scholarship (2 times). Her on campus involvement is also impressive including: Dell Collegiate Campus Ambassador, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society Secretary and Lifetime Member, Society for Human Resource Management President, American Marketing Association Director of Digital Media and Epsilon Nu Tau Entrepreneurship Frat member and more.
In the spirit of this scholarship and Bill Hogue, she has done all this while working her way through school. After graduation, she will stay at Texas State and work toward a Master’s in Human Resources Management and plans to stay very involved on campus by mentoring students and staying engaged with her student organizations.
