Student Profile: Alena Williams

Alena is an upcoming Senior and first generation college student from Keller Texas. Alena applied and won one of our Stelos Leaders Scholarships that will go toward her tuition. 

She has worked her entire college career, most currently as a Residential Assistant for Housing and Residential Life. She also participates in campus organizations such as Council for Exceptional Children (hosts Special Needs Prom) and Bobcat Build. She’s a leader on campus and will continue to lead after she graduates.

“A leader is someone who keeps the group together. A leader is honest, selfless, they have clarity, and they are a well-rounded person,” Alena said. 

Alena is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a certification in All-Levels and minoring in Special Education. She is a member of the Honors College and on the Dean’s List. In 2022, Alena will graduate and become a teacher.

“Once you’re a leader, it’s hard to stop being one,” she said.
