Bobcat Bucket List #71: Visit Blue Hole Regional Park

Surrounded by cypress trees, Blue Hole Regional Park is a picturesque swimming hole in Wimberley that’s a summer favorite for locals. Day passes are required for swimmers, but the park itself is open and free to the public.

This natural, spring-fed swimming spot is has cool water year-round. Swimmers can jump off multiple rope swings into the spring or wade in the shallow area. Many people bring pool noodles and floats to chill in the water all afternoon.


There’s a large grassy area next to the spring where groups can picnic or sunbathe after swimming. Groups can reserve large picnic tables and bring food and drinks to eat there.
