Beginning in 2026, Clinton B. Morris will fund a $4,000 annual scholarship for the next five years recognizing an outstanding senior in the Texas State Construction Science & Management Program. The award honors a graduating senior with strong potential in the construction industry.
McCoy Outstanding Student Award
History of the Scholarship
Established in 2025, the McCoy Outstanding Student Award recognizes exceptional student achievement across the six majors offered by the McCoy College of Business: Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing. One outstanding student from each major is selected to receive a $500 award, totaling $3,000 in annual support.
This award is proudly supported by Patrick Samuels and Thibault Gehin, whose generosity helps celebrate and encourage the next generation of business leaders.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the McCoy Outstanding Student Award, applicants must:
Be enrolled as an undergraduate student in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University.
Be pursuing one of the following majors:
– Accounting
– Computer Information Systems
– Economics
– Finance
– Management
– Marketing
Recipients are selected by the Dean of the McCoy College of Business and a committee of faculty and staff. One outstanding student from each major will be selected to receive a $500 award.
Application Process
The Scholarship shall be presented annually at the Stelos Alliance Scholarship Awards Banquet. The time and place are to be determined by Stelos Alliance but will be in San Marcos, TX.
