History of the Scholarship
Beginning in 2026, Clinton B. Morris has committed a gift of four thousand dollars ($4,000) annually for the next five years to recognize an outstanding senior in the Texas State University Construction Science & Management Program. This scholarship honors a graduating senior who demonstrates exceptional potential for success in the construction profession.
In previous years, the College of Science and Engineering presented this award as a prestigious recognition without a monetary component. Through Mr. Morris’ generosity, the honor will now also include a cash award, helping ensure a strong start for the recipient as they begin their career in the construction industry.
About the Donor
Clinton “Clint” Morris is the President of C. Brooks Construction and a proud alumnus of Texas State University. Clint graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a specialty in Construction and a minor in Business. C. Brooks Construction specializes in interior construction and is known for its dedicated staff, meticulous standards, and commitment to excellence. The company focuses on interior projects ranging from $500 to $5 million and has completed projects across corporate interiors, healthcare, retail, industrial, technology, and specialty sectors. C. Brooks Construction prides itself on building innovative spaces through a culture of commitment, integrity, and precision.
Applicants must:
Be a graduating senior enrolled in the Construction Science and Management Program at Texas State University
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5
The Scholarship shall be presented annually at the Stelos Alliance Scholarship Awards Banquet. The time and place are to be determined by Stelos Alliance but will be in San Marcos, TX.
In 2026, friends, family, and alumni partnered with the Stelos Alliance to establish a scholarship for the Eta Rho Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, recognizing undergraduate brothers who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and pride in their chapter and Texas State University.
The Bustillos Mariachi Excellence Awards, established in 2025 by Sheila Bustillos, Ph.D. to provide two $500 annual scholarships to help Texas State students pursue their goals without financial barriers.
The Nations Family established their scholarship to support undergraduates dedicated to DEIA, especially those advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community and transgender rights.
