Beginning with this cycle, the Grusendorf Award will be enhanced thanks to a gift from sociology alumna and former Grusendorf Award recipient Kenzie Nasser (’22), whose contribution reflects her commitment to honoring academic excellence and investing in future sociology students.
Kappa Alpha Brothers Remembered Scholarship
History of the Scholarship
Remembering the beloved KA brothers lost over the years through an annual scholarship to a student who exhibits leadership characteristics, optimism, enthusiasm, integrity, and pride in the University and the chapter.
In 2024, David Worley, in conjunction with the non-profit organization Stelos Alliance, pledged to create and support a scholarship to honor beloved KA brothers.
It is with a heavy heart that we think about all the brothers we lost over the years. Honestly, too many to mention but none will ever be forgotten.
To honor them we will award a scholarship annually to an active Texas State KA that exhibits leadership characteristics, optimistic enthusiasm, integrity, and pride in the University and our chapter.
