History of the Scholarship
The scholarship was developed in 2023, and is supported by its creator, Jordan Johnson.
Jordan is a Stelos Alliance Board Member and has a tremendous passion for the art of the sale! He is the Owner of Johnson Biomedical LLC, where he does Medical Device Sales, Distribution and Business Development specializing in procedural solutions for the spine.
Be enrolled as a marketing major to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a sales concentration
Have participated in a collegiate sales competition through the Center for Professional Sales.
Have maintained a 3.0 GPA (minimum).
The Johnson Sales Award of Distinction is awarded to the student team competing in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC). Recipients are designated by the Director of the Center for Professional Sales, and the total scholarship amount is evenly distributed among all team members.
The Bustillos Mariachi Excellence Awards, established in 2025 by Sheila Bustillos, Ph.D. to provide two $500 annual scholarships to help Texas State students pursue their goals without financial barriers.
The Nations Family established their scholarship to support undergraduates dedicated to DEIA, especially those advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community and transgender rights.
The Lirette Leadership Nursing Scholarship awards $1,000 to two students entering nursing school each fall. Inspired by her own growth at Texas State, Jennifer created this scholarship to support fellow Bobcats pursuing nursing.
