Hall Family Scholarship

History of the Scholarship

Dr. Carrie Angell, Stelos Alliance Board Member, is pleased to posthumously honor my grandparents with a Stelos scholarship in their name to support a first-generation college student at Texas State University.

James and Mildred Hall called the San Marcos area home for many years. While neither attended Texas State University, they constantly encouraged their granddaughter, a first-generation college student at Texas State. Given their focus on supporting the educational pursuits of younger generations, we will grant an annual scholarship to a first-generation Texas State University student pursuing their dreams.

Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another,”

– G. K. Chesterton.
