HISTORY OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

Carrie A. Hurt, Stelos Alliance Board Member, is pleased to honor her parents with a Stelos scholarship in their name to support a Texas State University student. Their Texas State University roots run deep, having supported a first-generation daughter and later a grandson to graduate as proud Bobcats.

Ever-caring and supportive, Doris and Ron Angell show kindness to all who cross their paths. Through the years, they have opened their home and hearts to countless animals, providing safety, security, and love. Given their fervent love of pets, we will grant an annual scholarship to a Texas State University student pursuing animal science studies.

We have more to learn from animals than animals do from us,”
