A non-profit organization with a 100% donor efficiency guarantee.

The Stelos Alliance was created to provide opportunities for extraordinary students at Texas State University. Over the years, it’s grown to include scholarships for students around the country. Every dollar donated to student scholarships is a dollar in the pocket of an extraordinary young leader.

Founded in 2008, the Stelos Alliance is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of helping extraordinary young leaders reach their potential. Currently, the Stelos Alliance offers numerous annual scholarships to student leaders at Texas State University.

Texas State provided its founders Melinda Harrod-Keller and Bill Poston with the solid foundation they needed to become people of consequence. The Stelos Alliance is their way of giving back to a university that gave them so much!

The Housley Principled Leadership Program  launched in 2011 to empower exemplary students at the university level. It is currently offered at Texas State University in the Honors College as a semester-long course each fall and in other formats throughout the year. .

In 2012, the Stelos Fellows Program was created to offer Texas State students custom internships tailored to their career ambitions. The Fellows program goes beyond scholarship awards to provide participants with the work experience they need to compete in their field.

The Stelos Alliance partners with Texas State University on the Stelos Scholars program. The initiative provides a select cohort of top Honors College students with a differentiated educational experience that includes summer travel. Each Stelos Scholar develops the knowledge and skills to reach their potential and become a leader of consequence.

And we have even more planned, stay tuned.

Stelos comes from the words “Star” and “Telos”, the Latin word for potential. Together they create “Stelos” or “Star Potential.”

The goal of the Stelos Alliance is to support as many Texas State student leaders as possible through scholarship, fellowship and leadership training.
