Student Spotlight: Abby Clay

Abby Clay is the 2023 recipient of the Lebens Fashion Merchandising Excellence Award. This scholarship awards a top Fashion Merchandising student demonstrating exceptional potential and emerging as an excellent designer and a leader in their field.

Abby is from Austin and came to Texas State with a major in Fashion Merchandising and Business Administration. She has always loved fashion and has worked in retail for years. Currently, she is working in her first job centered specifically around visual merchandising. She plans to continue working in the visual area of fashion merchandising and is excited to continue learning more about the planning process and all that goes into executing a store's image.

Texas State taught Abby a lot about the world of fashion and business principles that will be helpful to her as she continues to move her way up in the industry.
