Board Member Q&A: Cortney Lebens
Meet Cortney Lebens, one of our new Stelos Alliance Board Members! Cortney is the Co-Founder and CEO at Muy’Ono Resorts, Delicious Digital Marketing, Blurred Vines, and Live Large Fit Studios. Along with supporting Stelos, Cortney is a part of the Girls Empowerment Network, The 19th, and Telluride Foundation.
Cortney is the founder of the Lebens Young Female Entrepreneur Award.
Why I support Stelos
I support Stelos Alliance because I have personally seen the organization work to develop new ways of empowering student leaders and provide scholarship dollars to talented, hardworking young leaders for over 9 years. The work they are doing in the Texas State community to build young leaders is unmatched. The students that have benefited from the organization and taken the Housley Principled Leadership Program truly have a jumpstart on personal and professional growth through the real and hands on leadership practices taught through the program. This kind of leadership training doesn’t exist anywhere else.
My greatest accomplishment to date
Building Muy’Ono Resorts and launching Delicious Digital Marketing. The opportunities that we have created for individuals through these businesses have been extremely rewarding. Seeing them grow from entry level positions to taking on leadership roles within the organizations is very special. They are my greatest accomplishments because without them, we would not have the thriving businesses we have today.
More about me
I was raised on a ranch in Fredericksburg, TX where I learned the value of hard work early on in life. A country gal living in the city, I will always remember where I came from and the lessons I learned growing up in a small town. I have always been interested in taking my expertise back to my roots in some way. After spending 8 years running a marketing and hospitality business in Belize, I’ve decided to take my work back home with the development of a resort and wine tasting room in Fredericksburg over the next couple of years. I’m forever inspired by the beauty of the Texas Hill-Country and have a strong desire to serve the incredible people of my small town.
Additionally, I have a passion for providing opportunities for talented young professionals to grow both personally and professionally, especially young females. I have been lucky to have incredible mentors throughout my life that have propelled me in my career, I hope to do the same for others.
