Student Spotlight: Madison Bell
From the small town of Wolfe City to the vibrant hills of San Marcos, Madison Bell has found her place and purpose at Texas State University. A senior majoring in Public Relations with a concentration in sports media and a minor in innovation and entrepreneurship, Madison decided to come to Texas State for the scenic beauty of campus, and the legacy of role models who came before her.
“I always loved the vibe here, it just felt like home,” she shared.
On campus, Madison is actively involved in Young Life, a faith-based organization focused on building meaningful relationships and fostering community through Bible study and events. “The people are so inclusive and God-driven,” she says. “It’s been amazing to be surrounded by others who are kind and encouraging.” Her goal is to see the organization continue to grow and flourish on campus.
Academically, Madison has excelled, making the Dean’s List every semester at Texas State. She also worked as a sales associate during her two-year internship with The Commencement Group, where she gained hands-on experience. Her leadership roots traced back to high school, where she served as Vice President of FFA and Secretary of Student Council.
After graduation, Madison plans to make the move to Austin, where she hopes to land a position or internship at a PR firm and launch her professional career. Long-term, she dreams of traveling the world, especially throughout in Europe.
Thanks to her time at Texas State, Madison has honed her public speaking and communication skills, deepened her understanding of the PR field, and grown into a confident, driven leader. Friends describe her as kind, bright, charismatic, and grounded—with an energetic, loyal, and outgoing personality to match.
As she wraps up her senior year, Madison is ready to take on what’s next—with big dreams, a strong work ethic, and a heart full of purpose.
