Kristian Romero

Student Spotlight: Kristian Romero

Meet Kristian Romero, a senior Business Management major from Hutto, Texas, whose journey at Texas State University has been shaped by her strong sense of community, leadership, and an unstoppable positive attitude. For Kristian, choosing Texas State was about being close to home and creating a community for herself. As soon as she arrived, she fell in love with campus and the beauty of San Marcos.

Kristian is an active member of Alpha Xi Delta, where she serves as the External Marketing Director. The organization focuses on raising funds for the Greater San Marcos Youth Council, supporting children in need and teens who are in foster care or homeless. She is also a proud sweetheart of Sigma Alpha Epsilon where she helps support philanthropy events.

She is passionate about taking her involvement in Alpha Xi Delta to the next level, with hopes of joining the executive team. Kristian cares deeply about the sorority’s values and has hopes of seeing the organization grow as a whole. What she loves most about her sorority is the family she has gained.

“It’s been a home away from home. I’ve met so many amazing people, and it’s really helped me grow as a person” -Kristian Romero

Kristian has already made her mark, earning a spot on Dean’s list at Texas State. In high school, she was involved in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) where she dedicated many hours to becoming a leader in her community and developing people skills. This drove her to achieve higher goals when coming to Texas State, and encouraged her to be involved on campus.

She attributes her biggest source of motivation to her mother, “She has a good head on her shoulders and is always doing things for other people”. Kristian notes that her mother never stops working hard and always has a positive outlook on life.

Throughout her academic and extracurricular experiences, Kristian has developed valuable skills in organization, time management, communication, problem-solving, leadership, and people skills.

After graduation, Kristian plans to explore internship opportunities and enter the business world, with possible goals of moving to Austin. Some of her biggest dreams include traveling the world, with a dream of visiting or even living in Greece.
