Bobcat Bucket List #45

Eat a Burger at Taproom

This 4th edition of the courthouse has been around since 1908. The three previous courthouses were burned and torn down in the mid to late 1800’s.

Not only is this courthouse the 4th building to reside on 111 E San Antonio Street, it’s also almost identical to three other courthouses in different counties. The architects got their money’s worth of that design, replicating it for multiple towns.

In its nearly 30 years of service, Taproom has become a San Marcos staple.

“I mean, if you ask anyone on the street where to get a good burger and a beer…they’re gonna point you to us here at Taproom,” said Taproom server Zach.

Taproom is also well-known for its hefty selection of over 40 local and international draft beers.

“We serve a ton of beers from all around the world. Belgium, Germany, Italy, Japan…you name it,” Zach said. “There’s such a wide range that you can try a new beer every time you stop by.”

If you’re looking for a burger joint with a laid back atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious grub, you can’t go wrong with stopping by the Taproom!
