Empowering Extraordinary Student Leaders

The Stelos Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting exceptional students with a 100% donor efficiency guarantee—every dollar given to scholarships goes directly into the hands of young leaders.

Founded in 2008, the Stelos Alliance was created to provide opportunities for outstanding students at Texas State University. Over time, its impact has expanded to support student across the country through scholarships and leadership programs.

The organization was founded by Melinda Harrod-Keller and Bill Poston, whose experiences at Texas State laid the foundation for their success. The Stelos Alliance is their way of giving back, ensuring future generations of leaders have the same opportunity to thrive.

Stelos comes from the words “Star” and “Telos”, the Latin word for potential. Together they create “Stelos” or “Star Potential.”

The mission of the Stelos Alliance is to help extraordinary student leaders reach their potential!

Meet the Staff

Bill Poston

President & Founder

Bill Poston is an entrepreneur, business advisor, investor, philanthropist, educator, and adventurer. His passion for exploration and adventure keeps him moving around the world in search of more extreme forms of hiking, SCUBA diving, snow skiing, boating and all types of fishing.

Melinda Keller 

Vice President

Melinda serves as the Vice President and Executive Director of the Stelos Alliance. She has 30 years’ experience focusing on the WOW! She comes alive while creating unique events, and when finding support for outstanding student leaders. During her free time, she enjoys time with her daughters, her love/hate relationship with golf and is a CycleBar Enthusiast.

Julia Reisz

Marketing Coordinator

Julia Reisz serves as the Marketing Coordinator for Stelos Alliance, where she develops creative strategies to amplify the organization’s impact. She is passionate about crafting messages that don’t just inform but inspire action. In her free time, you can find her testing out new recipes, staying active, or spending time with friends.
