Attend Sights and Sounds of Christmas
Twinkling light setups and a glowing ferries wheel make the perfect backdrop for festive holiday photos and fun. The week after Thanksgiving, San Marcos hosts a six day Christmas festival packed with rides, light shows, performances, and fair food.
Founded in 1987, the festival is hosted by the non-profit, Sights and Sounds of Christmas Foundation. They aim to provide a festival free for children twelve and under along with gifts and free activities for them. Over the years, they’ve raised over $300,000 from the festival.
There’s something for everyone at Sights and Sounds of Christmas. Some fan favorites at the festival are the petting zoo, campfire biscuits, and live music. They even have a Jingle Bell Run for those looking for some holiday exercise.
