Stelos Announces recipients for 2012 Stelos Alliance Award

The Stelos Alliance announced today the awardees of the inaugural Stelos Alliance Award. The following individuals have been selected to receive the award for their diligent efforts to employ and empower dynamic college graduates.

Rick Burchfield – President, Commercial Wireless Solutions (CWS), Pasadena, TX

Bruce Howard – Director, Operations & Development, Fisher, Herbst & Kemble, P.C., San Antonio, TX

Linda Roach – Vice President, Marketing, Planview, Austin, TX

Jody Turnbow – Vice President, Supplier Development, Glazers Distribution, Dallas, TX

In 2010, Stelos launched the Housley Principled Leadership Program – a 7-week course in principled leadership development geared toward empowering student leaders to reach their potential with integrity at the university level.

In 2011, Stelos established the Stelos Alliance Award to honor individuals and organizations who continue the mission of assisting dynamic young leaders in their path to success post-graduation by providing scholarships, fellowships and internships to recruit, utilize, mentor and grow promising young people into the principled leaders of tomorrow

Award recipients will be honored at the annual Stelos Alliance Awards banquet on April 29th in San Marcos, TX. Awardees will also be invited to speak and participate in the spring 2012 Housley Principled Leadership Program in order to build relationships with the highest caliber of students and open the door for potential mentoring relationships and future employment opportunities.


The Stelos Alliance Awards banquet is generously underwritten by Kim Booker, President of Sandler Training.

The Stelos Alliance, founded in 2008, is a 501 (c)(3) organization with the mission of helping extraordinary young leaders reach their potential. Currently, Stelos offers 19 scholarships annually and provides Principled Leadership Training to student leaders at no cost. The Stelos Alliance Award was created in 2011 to help student leaders continue their trajectory after graduation by creating relationships with likeminded professionals and organizations.
