Poston launches “$10 for Tomorrow” scholarship campaign with 2:1 match
June 11th, 2012
BOERNE, Texas- Bill Poston, founder of the Stelos Alliance, a non-profit organization with the mission of empowering student leaders, announced the public phase of his $10 for Tomorrow grassroots giving campaign today.
The campaign aims to engage friends of the Stelos Alliance by asking for $10 donations and encouraging every donor to share the Stelos story with their friends and colleagues.
“In 2012, we will award over $25,000 in scholarships - over $10,000 of which came from last year’s $10 for Tomorrow campaign. Our regular supporters play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission of providing financial assistance to students who are actively making a difference,” Poston said about the annual scholarship drive.
This is the third year Poston has pledged a 2-for-1 match for each donation made before Labor Day. For every dollar donated to the $10 for Tomorrow campaign, Poston will give $2 to the Stelos Alliance.
In a recent email to ongoing supporters of the $10 for Tomorrow campaign, Poston said about Stelos’ philosophy:
We don’t claim all the credit for the outstanding work these students are doing, but we think we play a pretty vital role. Our approach to empowering students involves identifying high performers and providing them with the means to accelerate their development. The scholarships and education we provide these students enable them to focus their extracurricular energies on serving their campuses and their communities.

In addition to encouraging financial contributions from friends, Poston hopes to utilize social media networks to spread the word about the grassroots campaign. You can help broaden Stelos' reach by sharing $10 for Tomorrow on your social media channels:
The Stelos Alliance has a 100% donor efficiency guarantee – every dollar donated goes directly to scholarships. No donations are used for marketing expenses or overhead.
